When choosing the right wire netting for your needs, you need to consider a number of factors. Hexagonal wire netting, also known as chicken wire, is highly flexible and easy to cut and shape. For a sturdier fence, we recommend welded wire mesh fencing or stock fencing.
The size of the holes will be determined by the type of animal you are trying to keep contained or keep out. You don’t want it to be too easy for animals to get caught in the fencing. For small animals like rabbits, choose the smallest hole size.
When choosing the fence height, consider what you are trying to keep in and what you are trying to keep out. Remember that you may also need to bury the bottom of the fencing underground to prevent your animals from escaping under the fence.
The wire thickness will determine the strength of the fencing, and also the weight. Thinner wire will be easier to bend, cut and shape, while thicker wire will offer a sturdier option.
