Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully as they apply whenever an order is placed by you with Muttons Country Store, on our website muttons.co.uk (the “Website”).
Ordering – The Contract Between Muttons & You
Once you have ordered and paid for your goods on the Website, we will send you an email confirming details of your order providing that you have submitted an accurate email address when placing your order. We will send you another email to confirm when we have despatched your order. At this point, when we accept your order, the contract is formed (subject to these Terms & Conditions). We cannot guarantee that all the ordered goods are available in our inventory at all times, but we will ship these as soon as possible. If we are unable to fulfil your order, we will notify you. If you notice that any of the information emailed to you is incorrect, please contact us immediately so we can correct it.
Product Descriptions & Specifications
We have spent time and effort ensuring that all products are portrayed accurately on the Website, though slight variations may occur. All colours, dimensions, and descriptions of items on the Website are quoted as accurately as possible but please note that all images are for illustration purposes only. The colours which you see will depend on the resolution of your screen or monitor and we cannot therefore guarantee that your screen or monitor’s display of any colour will always reflect accurately the colour of the item delivered. We reserve the right from time to time to alter the dimensions, specifications, descriptions and quantities of items displayed on our Website, without prior notice.
Prices
All product prices are displayed in GBP sterling and include Value Added Tax (VAT) which will be applied at the current rate where applicable. The price applicable is the price set out next to the product in question on the website on the date of ordering. While we try and ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.
Delivery costs are as stipulated in the delivery information page on the Website and will be displayed before checkout.
Payment
We accept a wide range of payment methods. All payments are processed securely on behalf of Muttons Country Store Ltd in settlement of the sale of goods by Muttons Country Store Ltd.
All payments for goods must be made when the order is placed. We will not reserve or despatch goods before payment is received. We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, but cannot accept cheques or cash as payments for online or telephone orders. Please do not send us payment information using those mediums.
Our website uses high-level SSL encryption technology. You can therefore rest assured that we take the privacy and security of your payment and personal details very seriously. You can tell whether a page is secure as ‘https’ will replace the ‘http’ at the front of the www.muttons.co.uk in your browser address window. A small, locked padlock will also appear in the address bar of your browser window.
Delivery (UK Only)
For full information regarding our delivery times and charges, please visit our delivery information page on our website. If you order multiple items for delivery to the same address, they may be despatched separately, and we are unable to guarantee delivery on the same day, unless a specific delivery day is selected.
When ordering a large quantity of items, or dependent on the weight or size of items, we may sometimes send orders as multiple parcels.
We make every effort to deliver goods within the estimated timescales; however delays are occasionally inevitable due to unforeseen circumstances. If we do not deliver the goods within the estimated timescales, you may call upon us to make the delivery within an additional period of time appropriate to the circumstances. If we fail to deliver the goods within that additional period of time, you shall be entitled to terminate the contract. We have the risk and liability for damage to the goods during transport when delivering until you or someone appointed by you have taken physical possession of the goods. If you choose to return the goods regardless of the situation you will have the risk and liability for damage to the goods during transport when returning until we have taken physical possession of the goods.
All deliveries must be to a named individual. If a delivery at that address is not possible, you may be given options to leave the parcel with a neighbour, at a safe place or for delivery to be re-attempted or collected. If the delivery subsequently still fails or the delivery is refused by the recipient (e.g. an unwanted gift) then the goods will be returned to the couriers distribution centre and you will be contacted for instructions to where the goods should be delivered. Refunds will not be available in these circumstances. If we are unable to make contact, the returned items will be sent to your address and you will be liable for additional costs. Any additional delivery charges incurred due to errors by you upon ordering may be passed on to you.
Delivery times may vary according to availability and any guarantees or representations made as to delivery times are limited to mainland UK and subject to any delays resulting from postal delays or force majeure (e.g. weather) for which we will not be responsible.
